Pros & Cons

  • ✅ Diptyque Eau Rose EDP is beautiful from start to finish. The scent is fresh, crisp, and delicately sweet, capturing the feeling of a freshly cut rose rather than a heavy, jammy one.
  • ✅ Such a beautiful, juicy and dewy rose scent! Lasted amazingly on skin (~6hrs). Perfect to wear during the spring/summer.
  • ✅ I found my rose. It's sugary sweet, noncloying with a decent sillage.
  • ✅ This is a perfectly delicate, photorealistic rose scent (if you’re familiar with any of the FRESH rose products, this is how it smells as a perfume) with an immediate drydown of litchi, followed by the leaves, stems, and thorns of a rose.
  • ✅ Diptyque Eau Rose EDP is beautiful from start to finish. The bottle and packaging are as elegant as the fragrance itself. The scent is fresh, crisp, and delicately sweet, capturing the feeling of a freshly cut rose rather than a heavy, jammy one.
  • ✅ The most beautiful and artistic rose i’ve tried so far. Diptyque has been disarming my resistance to rose: first the green, fruity rose in L’Ombre Dans L’Eau EDT, and now this herbal, fresh, restrained, earthy rose.
  • ✅ I found my rose. It's sugary sweet, noncloying with a decent sillage. It stays true to the litchi note while never going sour on me like most roses.
  • ❌ Eau Rose EDP is beautiful in the opening, but I keep getting this weird, almost rubbery dry down later in the day.
  • ❌ I loved the Eau Rose EDT but it lacked any staying power, so this seemed perfect. And while the rose is just as lovely and fresh here, there's an unfortunate herbal-spicy note that throws it off for me.
  • ❌ Not for me. The artichoke note makes the rose note smell like flowers left in a vase too long when the water has turned brown & the stems start to decay.
  • ❌ I loved the Eau Rose EDT but it lacked any staying power, so this seemed perfect. And while the rose is just as lovely and fresh here, there's an unfortunate herbal-spicy note that throws it off for me. Black pepper? Incense? Radish? It must be what they're calling artichoke in the scent pyramid. Whatever it is, there is way too much of it, and it crowds out the rose for me.
  • ❌ Not for me. The artichoke note makes the rose note smell like flowers left in a vase too long when the water has turned brown & the stems start to decay. On the dry down I'm left with headache inducing hairspray scent.
  • ❌ This is very pretty, but shockingly sweet. At least on me it's shockingly sweet. For some reason, the lychee really stands out to me / on me.
  • ❌ I'm glad I have a big bottle because this one needs to be resprayed often. Longevity is poor on me.
