Pros & Cons
- ✅ A masterpiece. Dewy, maybe even a little sticky, but only slightly sweet: it evokes the fuzz covering unassuming, unromantic meadow plants like borage.
- ✅ This is a work of art, a modern green chypre masterpiece—made all the more impressive when you consider it was created by a self-taught perfumer.
- ✅ Dryad is a wonderfully complex and stimulating fragrance, clearly modelled after the golden days of green florals and chypres.
- ❌ The initial galbanum hit is brutal; the green-pepper edge is not something I enjoy and almost made me wash this off right away.
- ❌ Glad I got a sample. I'm afraid I perceive the opening as a form of vegetally infused lighter fluid.
- ❌ To me each Papillon perfume is a complete and well-balanced story... but this is lacking in character also it does not project like the others I have tried.
