Pros & Cons
- ✅ Those negative reiews below frustrate me till the point of anger. Surely they were not talking about sensual deep emotional luxurious Valentino Gold, where every note lingers into another one, where all is so perfectO Or maybe Valentino Gold chooses whom to deny in his beauty Lime blends into water lilies and ginger, cardamom follows iris and cinnamon, waves by waves ..I physically feel how fragrance builds its own space like aura around me, its pure amazing seduction, I never thought such thing is possible. I Am in heaven when I wear this perfume, unique in its soft spices, so unusual, so unforgettable. Golden laces of grace I like other Valentino Perfumes, but I Am fine without them. I can not imagine that day when I will not have Valentino Gold.
- ✅ My first and last blind purchase - Bingo! I still keep it and wear only on big occasions, like to the opera or a refined restaurant. The secret is to spray the clothes massively the previous evening, add a small spritz on leaving the house the next day and forget the bottle at home. As a result I get a very rich aristocratic lasting scent, a little bitter, with a very deep sensual feeling.
- ✅ I have got it. Personally I find it first of all very refreshing, but in a elegant way, floral, a bit green. I hadn't got any problem about its longevity. After 12 hours I can smell its dry down again. Maybe it isn't so great in projection but it lasts all day.

- ✅ Very elegant and classy perfume. I like it.
- ✅ This is one of the best perfumed I ever smell. Bought it on impuls, and don't regret it. Pity I can't find such beautiful combination of citruses, spices and woods with little flowery scent more often.
- ❌ VALENTINO GOLD opens auspiciously, along the lines of BULGARI POUR FEMME, with a waft of benzoin lusciosity. Unfortunately, however, rather than developing to a beautiful, lasting floral drydown, VALENTINO GOLD simply dwindles away. I reapplied the edp three times over the course of the day, with the same result. The notes after the opening are so faint as to defy detection after an hour or so. The notes that emerge immediately after the opening are a light ginger and pepper, with hardly any floral at all. But the spices are really very light, leading me to think that they may have been aiming for some sort of skin scent. What I find, at the end, is no scent at all! Désolée.
- ❌ To start with it is a bit cheap smelling. Very green, reminds me a lot of Avon's Little Black Dress. Then an overly spicy note takes over that I find a little unpleasant. After that, the spice dies down, and again an unpleasant transition takes place- I think it might be the cranberry. It then dries down to a reasonably pleasant (and quite familiar but I can't place it) floral musk. I am not overly fond of this fragrance. The sillage and longevity are distinctly unimpressive also. Ah yes! I know why the floral/musk/wood-combo dry down is familiar. It smells like sunscreen! I have a miniature. It has about a mL taken from it, anyone who wants it is welcome. I imagine it would appeal much more to someone else.
- ❌ For me, is a nice perfume, and that´s it....I´m agree with NathalieZ that it evaporates in a flash....and it smells floral and sweet for my taste.....

- ❌ I had high hopes for this one... It smells NOTHING like I thought it would. I thought it was goin to smell alot more like the cranberry, bergamot notes & warm but it smells so weird, spicy, herbal & cold, (nothing like gold at all) but in a more masculine way to me.
- ❌ 5 words from me: No no no no and no. Seems a bit rude but I will have a headache every time I smell it.
