Pros & Cons
- ✅ It’s such a vibrant and uplifting fragrance with the mix of ginger, bergamot, and cardamom.
- ✅ It’s the most versatile one of the entire line– can be worn on special occasions but can be pulled off as an everyday fragrance.
- ✅ Absolutely radiant. Absolutely intense. Absolutely exhilarating.
- ✅ I don’t understand the hate on this. It’s a unisex spicy floral fragrance with sweet woods at the base. Smells very good – it probably gets hate because it’s mainstream, but it’s easy to love.
- ✅ My favourite of the line so far. It’s the EDP on steroids – juicier, sweeter, and denser. Orange blossom stays prominent throughout. Less projecting but better overall performance than the EDP.
- ✅ Absolu takes this series to a higher level for me. The first two were good fragrances that I enjoyed, but this Myslf flanker is bordering great.
- ❌ The first impression you get of the fragrance is a screechy metallic opening, though it lasts only about 10 to 15 minutes.
- ❌ The notes have a synthetic quality to them, but that reflects the modern character of the fragrance.
- ❌ If you’re chasing edgy or niche-leaning smells, this will feel a bit too safe. It’s elevated, but not challenging.
- ❌ The price being $210 retail is a bit much. YSL is definitely reaching.
- ❌ The longevity could be better. I find it clings nicely until lunchtime before I feel the need for a re-spray.
