Pros & Cons
- ✅ Coral Reef is my after-shower freshen-up perfume for Spring 2015. It has the original Cool Water fresh sea salty vibe, but with a dash of mint added to the formulation.
- ✅ This juice is dedicated to those who loved and/or still love the original Cool Water. IMO, better than the previous Pure Pacific. An excellent fragrance for the summer to come.
- ✅ Davidoff are pretty much a 'What You See is What You Get' house, and Cool Water Coral Reef is a good example of that. It is close to the original but with just enough mild tweaks to make it distinctive.
- ✅ A Leopard Never Changes Its Spots - The immediate hit of Calone is Cool Water’s trademark. ... It opens with a slightly spicy mint before quickly drying down to mostly a juniper and water scent which reminds me of nice beach experience.
- ✅ THE Summer Cocktail with Ocean Breeze - From the very first moment, it had my attention. ... It starts off aquatic-fruity-fresh (lime) with a herbal sharpness (mint) in it. ... A summer cocktail.
- ❌ It smells like soap and cheap perfume. There is a strong note that I particularly dislike (dunno which). It just doesn't smell right, even for summer.
- ❌ It's too weak and not long lasting. At least to me it doesn't smell that much like water/sea itself but more like the forests found around the Mediterranean.
- ❌ still has the same problem like cool water: very poor longevity. overall it's just fresher than cool water. the citrus scent is stronger
- ❌ The Worst EdT - Davidoff Coral Reef Edition was the first EdT that made me feel nauseous while sniffing it.
- ❌ Cool Water is not noodle water!!! - ... it's Cool Water + X (salty notes, pepper?) - enthusiasm, innovation, courage. ... a light interpretation (saltier & more pleasing) of the original that the world really doesn't need.
