Pros & Cons
- ✅ This is THE summer sunshine in a bottle. Aptly named Sweet Sun, it opens as a dual note of slight fresh floral mandarin mixed with warm vanilla. The scent is heaven throughout its wear and after spraying this to my décolleté and arms, it makes my skin soft and velvety and almost creates a slight glow. Beautiful!
- ✅ My favorite summer fragrance. It smells like booze, musk, suntan oil, and candied oranges. It's alcohol-free, so it's very easy to layer over other fragrances, and although it doesn't stay at its full strength for long, that syrupy citrus-vanilla-cognac scent lingers as a skin scent all day.
- ❌ The opening of this reminds me of my dad in the UK in the 1980s. It has a slightly masculine freshness, perhaps from the sour fruit notes. It sits close to the skin and doesn't last long. It doesn't say 'sunny' to me.
- ❌ Sweet Sun is....just OK. Nothing in the notes listed above make sense or stand out. I get a BIT of Clinique Happy, or thereabouts, then come an average sweet/woody dry-down.
