Pros & Cons
- ✅ Oh my, the Extraît is gooorrrrggeeeouss, just like I imagined. More gooey, silky, balsamic, dense and intense than the EDP. The saffron is exceptional and smells so realistic.
- ✅ Gorgeous extrait, starts with rich citrus oils (mandarine/tangelo) infused with exotic florals, jasmine, lilies & orchid, herbaceous notes include thyme & saffron, this lush DARK golden essence from the crocus flower takes centre stage for the entire drydown helping to keep the subtle fruity aspect (sambac jasmine+patchouli) in check.
- ✅ I think the name gives it off well. A sad melancholic song you naturally surrender to. Deep vanilla, a slight tang of sourness from the orange/ylang ylang with an herbal twist from the oakmoss. Feels intimate, skin-like. ... Very unique and insanely sexy yet unsettling. blind buy turned signature scent & my all time favorite. 10/10
- ✅ I've spent years trying *not* to have a signature scent. This is it for me. No matter how many perfumes I encounter, this is always the one that others cannot touch. ... The most unique fragrance I've ever come across & it must be so, judging by how often others say the same.
- ✅ Very first EDP that I have bought around 4 or so, years ago. ... this is my signature scent for dark & cold, almost melancholy winters. ... makes me feel so strong when wearing it. I dare say it makes you feel like a demon and not an angel at all... demon with angelic face! It lasts forever on clothes and on my skin is like 12h+! So worth the price.
- ❌ If you’re blind buying a vintage perfume, keep in mind that old-fashioned “vintage” feel is very noticeable and not everyone enjoys it today. ... the opening instantly reminded me of the scented hair oils my aunts used to wear mixed with hairspray.
- ❌ Not office safe, because of the strong silage and it's hate-it-or-love-it character. That's the most elegant way I can put this. It smells like you're trying to mask something.
- ❌ cloying synthetic insanity. things it makes me picture against my will: the botoxed foreheads of jennifer connelly and courtney cox. real estate agents closing the deal. vanilla and blackberry buttercream icing laced with razorblades.
