Pros & Cons
- ✅ Beautiful simple Attar from Amouage centered around the most lovely Omani olibanum resin which is a signature of this house. The incense is surrounded by notes of cedar and oakmoss with a fixative that gives it a pronounced lasting power.
- ✅ Incense Rori elevates frankincense to its most spiritual, almost liturgical realm, while retaining a contemporary elegance. The use of olibanum is clean, profound, and carries a purifying aura that instantly invites introspection.
- ✅ So unique. I've never smelled anything like it. super warm I don't think there's anything out there like this. So complex with just a few ingredients
- ✅ Incense in a Bottle. This smells like incense. If you are into incense like I am this is exceptional, and a must have.
- ✅ The longevity and silage are very good. To me this is a all seasons scent. For around 30 bucks this is a no brainer.
- ❌ The ingredient responsible for that “pickle” note is Undecavertol, and it’s sitting at around 0.4% here. No idea why Julien Rasquinet decided to add it. It completely smothers the frankincense in the top.
- ❌ It’s somewhat monolithic and one dimensional however it’s a solid accord. The performance is uncanny and detracts from the beauty of the composition.
- ❌ I keep smelling an aromachemical that I cannot pinpoint; it smells dominating and quite simply, unnaturally smokey. On the drydown, it kind of becomes a dill-like scent which lingers for hours on end.
