Scent Journey
The first spray is a shock of cool fruit. White peach rises immediately, juicy and slightly green, with the aquatic notes giving it a wet, almost chilled quality, like the smell of a stone fountain in a garden at dusk. The rum is there from the start but sits behind the fruit, adding a dark, boozy warmth that stops the peach from reading as shampoo. Within ten minutes the composition begins to settle, the fruit softening and the rose beginning to push through.
By the one-hour mark, Her Majesty is a rose fragrance. The peach has receded to a glow at the edges, the rum has melted into the ambrette, and the rose is full, velvety, and slightly waxy — closer to a deep pink garden rose than a crisp tea rose. This is the most conventionally beautiful phase, and also the most wearable: rich enough to feel luxurious, restrained enough for an office. Around the ninety-minute mark, the first hints of oakmoss appear and the fragrance begins to tilt from floral to chypre.
Four hours in, the moss has taken the lead. What remains is a dry, elegant skin scent: oakmoss and cedar, a papery whisper of papyrus, the inky shadow of cypriol, and a ghost of rose. It is not a sweet drydown and it is not a warm one — it is cool, mineral, and composed, the olfactory equivalent of a well-cut jacket in a dark colour. On fabric it lasts considerably longer, and it is here that the chypre structure shows its real quality.
Performance Dashboard
Roughly 6-8 hours on skin, with the final two to three hours sitting close as a moss-and-wood skin scent. On clothing the drydown can persist into the following day.
Moderate, roughly arm's length for the first couple of hours before drawing in close to the skin. Two to three sprays is plenty.
Moderate to strong for the first two hours, then settling to moderate. A distinct but polite trail — noticed when someone leans in rather than when you walk past.
When to Wear
Pros & Cons
- ✅ Genuinely distinctive — a real chypre structure rather than a fruity floral in disguise
- ✅ A beautifully balanced peach-and-rum opening that resists cloying sweetness
- ✅ A long, elegant drydown of oakmoss, cedar, papyrus, and cypriol
- ✅ Truly unisex, and flattering across a wide range of skin types
- ✅ Refillable Kilian flacon, plus a 7.5ml travel size for around $50
- ❌ The Fragrantica aggregate sits at a middling 3.58/5
- ❌ The bitter, mossy finish is polarising and will not suit everyone
- ❌ Premium pricing: roughly $250-$305 for a 50ml EDP
- ❌ Moderate projection means heavy-handed wearers may be disappointed
Price & Value
“Fair value for structure-seekers, poor value for anyone chasing a crowd-pleasing powerhouse. The refillable flacon format softens the long-term economics considerably if this becomes a signature.”
Reformulation History
No significant batch variations have been reported for this 2026 release. As with all Kilian fragrances, the juice is produced in large, consistent runs, and the refillable flacon system means the composition is standardised across markets. Purchasing from an authorised retailer will give you a consistent experience.

Layering Ideas
- With Love, Don't Be Shy: a single spray on the wrists pushes the peach and rose into a softer, more gourmand register without losing the chypre base.
- With Angels' Share: on the chest, this amplifies the rum accord and adds an autumnal, boozy warmth that suits the colder months.
- With a simple ambrette or white musk oil underneath: this extends the skin-scent phase and softens the bitter edge of the oakmoss.
- Avoid citrus-forward colognes: the acidity fights the moss and makes the composition read thin.
