Pros & Cons
- ✅ I found the 3.4 oz bottle at TJ Maxx for $29.99, which is a great price for a nice summer scent. I was actually considering paying full retail price for the smaller bottle, but glad I saw it at TJ Maxx. I like the twist of bamboo in this fragrance. It's fresh, floral, creamy, and soft. Perfect for hot summer days when I want a breezy, summery scent. I love the drydown. I dislike the original Eternity and always look forward to the summer versions.
- ✅ A beautiful fragrance, however the sillage is not as strong as id have loved. Constant re-application is required... But overall CK rocks, and i love the summer editions that come every year.
- ✅ Blind buy in winter, first spray and...... I'm in summer. Blazing sun, long hot nights and iced drinks!!!! Oh wait it's frosty outside- mmmm better go and spray again, argh there we go back to summer. Bliss!!!
- ✅ I just bought this today on impulse, and I love it! The initial spray is a blast of floral, and smells like rose to me, although that is not one of the notes listed. That overwhelming burst dries down quickly and smells very fresh and lovely. It lasted 5+ hours on me, although it stays close to the skin. I definitely recommend this for summer!
- ✅ It is ironic that this scent comes in a pastel purple, lilac flanker because that is what this fragrance has become in my mind... Even though this isn't listed in the notes, I get the most amazing purple hyacinth, along with the water lily and gardenia. This is Easter in a bottle. I was attracted by the bamboo and there is quite a nice watery, green-ness to the dry down. I don't find this sweet, regardless of the fruity notes, I just get fresh spring flowers and clean watery plants all with a lavender hue....
- ❌ I am officially giving up on the Eternity Summer line. Have sampled through 2016 and just cannot get on board. Overall, too masculine and the 2014 and 2015 versions are nearly indistinguishable to me, so much green, almost evergreen.
- ❌ I got this at Marshalls for $25. There were three bottles of it available and all were opened which should've clued me in that I wouldn't like it. This fragrance doesn't really smell aquatic, but it smells clean. It reminds me of synthetic clean linen which isn't a bad scent, but it wasn't what I was expecting or looking for. On my skin I get more of the white florals with a touch of bamboo, none of the watermelon or pear I was looking forward to. I think it's suitable for late twenties and up, as it does smell a bit more serious and not very playful.
