Pros & Cons
- fabulous! It is what I wanted Sunset Hour to be, and it delivers wonderfully!
- This is blind buy worthy for me and I love a good "peach" smell and rum mix.
- A fruitier version is welcome.
- The OG sunset hour's sexier older sibling. I find it more versatile, can be worn all day and in most seasons. Delicious, sweet, fruity but not juvenile in the slightest.
- I cannot stop smelling my wrist! It’s creamy and warm without being cloying. It’s elegant and smooth. Pure quality and blended beautifully.
- What a great scent! First impression is that it leans masculine, but is definitely unisex. So much so that I have no issue wearing it. It is definitely a cooler weather scent.
- Delicious scent. Mouthwatering, juicy, dark, boozy - totally addictive. Reminds me of balsamic glazed, rum soaked peaches and Graham crackers.
- This is an incredible new release from GF&B. As soon as I smelt this in store I purchased a bottle. It’s great on its own and layering with other fragrance. Dark peach is perfectly unisex and versatile and a must for any fragrance collection.
- Agree with others that this seems unnecessary.
- I adore Sunset Hour but I don't think it needed a flanker.
- Ylang is a very situational note to me... I'm not sure about this one.
- Yet another fragrance that's sweet enough to spread on toast.
- Rum is disgusting. Overused.
- Boozy, spicy rum. I don’t really get any other notes besides the rum except a weird, almost mildew scent? Not for me, I actually had to scrub it off.
- On paper this perfume covers a lot of things I like, it should be boozy, sweet and a little smoky. In practise, the amber chokes out everything else and the scent profile is a mess. I could only bear to have it on my wrist for about 30 minutes before I had to wash it off. Absolute 0/10.
- Has that same generic cloying amber base that overtakes and suffocates the perfume. It's literally just Sunset Hour with that amber base x100 and extra doses of ambroxan. The peach scent still smells shampooey and isn't any juicier or fruitier.
- Completely unnecessary as far as I'm concerned; I own the original, which didn't exactly bring anything new to the fragrance world either. This version bears such a strong resemblance to popular Arabian clones—I can't pinpoint exactly which ones, but I know I don't like them—and they all share that same vibe: a bit of spice, a touch of vanilla, and the occasional fruit note. Boring, and they don't stand out in any way. Give us a little originality, for once.
- I prefer the original, which I love. I was immediately anosmic to this one, which means it is probably chock full of one of those amber wood molecules that is supposed to improve performance. The dry down is a little better, but it’s too sweet and gloopy for me.
