Pros & Cons

  • ✅ I found A Song for the Rose to be incredibly pleasing to my senses, just relaxing and familiar. It was like stepping into the embrace of a blooming rose, beautifully floral and delicate, whilst also being slightly reminiscent of raspberry candy, an almost imperceptible musky wood playing backbone to the rose petals.
  • ✅ And there I sat... I sat in a field full of strong red roses... The most beautiful things in life don't have to be complicated. Sometimes all it takes is a guitar made of good wood, a few roses, and something clean and soapy on the horizon to make our happiness perfect.
  • ❌ It's not a rose perfume at all. The main accord I am getting is lemon balm, not even lemon grass. No woodiness. The rose stands in the back and you have to search for it because the lemon balm is so dominant.
  • ❌ What’s special about this climbing rose is that there are no walls, no gates, no wires - the blossoms cling nowhere, they float. Like a painting without a canvas. There is only the choir of roses with the soap, which misses the right note, and the musical accompaniment is absent. ... This fragrance leaves me somewhat confused with its seemingly intentional superficiality, with its missing structure. For me, it is exactly that: a stiff mask, a facade.
