Pros & Cons
- ✅ The 90's amplified version of the original 1960's edt. Caleche edt and extrait are my favourite ones, but I also use this for winter & fall
- ✅ If Marilyn Monroe would have known this fragrance, she would have worn this to bed instead of Chanel no 5 :-)
- ✅ I find the type of women's fragrances enchantingly beautiful Lovely soft & silky Chypre With soapy aldehydes In timeless elegant style
- ✅ Timeless Elegance: Universally praised for its classic, sophisticated, and utterly chic scent profile that never goes out of style.
- ✅ Exceptional Longevity: The Parfum concentration ensures it lasts for hours on end, making it a reliable signature scent.
- ✅ Refined Sillage: Leaves a beautiful, subtle trail that is noticeable and intriguing without being overwhelming.
- ✅ Masterful Composition: The blend of aldehydes, florals, and woody-mossy notes is expertly balanced, showcasing true perfumery artistry.
- ✅ Luxurious Feel: Evokes a sense of opulence and refined taste, fitting perfectly for high-end occasions.
- ❌ Caleche was one of the first perfumes I bought myself; I wish I could still buy it. Caleche Soie de Parfum is quite a sour soap on me.
- ❌ Aldehydic Opening: Some find the initial aldehyde blast too sharp or dated for modern tastes.
- ❌ Polarizing for Some: Its classic structure might not appeal to those who prefer contemporary, sweeter, or more avant-garde scents.
- ❌ Price Point: As a luxury Parfum from Hermès, it represents a significant investment.
- ❌ Subtlety can be a drawback: Those seeking a scent that announces their presence from a distance might find it too understated.
