Pros & Cons

  • ✅ This smells so pretty - a perfect Cherryblossom scent. It starts with a slight bite of bergamot that fades fast (which is good imo) and then a beautiful Spring Cherryblossom blooms and maintains, resting on a musky base. Really very lovely, but maybe not up to the task of surviving the winter months. A bonus though is that my boyfriend really likes it - whoever said men don't like florals? :)
  • ✅ I was so excited to get this online and had it delivered the next day! A beautiful light floral scent that can be worn everyday and any occasion. The composition of both the rose and cherry blossoms are just amazing with the dry down lightly sweet and musky without losing the floral scent. This is much lighter than my other Jo Malone floral fragrances (Peony and Blush Suede and Red Roses) and I find more versatile to wear as the other two can be quite heavy to wear. The downside is that like all my Jo Malone fragrances, they don’t last long on my skin but sillage is pretty good. One of my new favourite scents!
  • ✅ I dont know the original 2011 edition but I really like this years blue skies collection sakura cherry blossom. It reminds me the old miss dior cherie before it' s renewed million times
  • ✅ I tested the 2022 limited edition rerelease of this fragrance at a beauty retailer. Jo Malone London Sakura Cherry Blossom smells like real cherry blossoms! It has the almost bitter freshness I like in my florals. The fragrance is young yet dated, distinctively perfume-y due to a powdery effect, but I enjoy powder. It is also a little soapy with balanced sweetness. This light, simple scent charmed me, but the pretty bottle is too expensive for purchase.
  • ✅ Simple, graceful and pretty springtime pick-me-up reminiscent of sweetly perfumed sakura blooms in Kyoto. I've been lucky enough to visit and catching little wafts of this reminded me of that trip. It doesn't last or shout it's presence, it's a scent for you and only your very closest. Not every fragrance needs to be a power scent though and like most JMs, it's not so much a main component of an outfit as a cherry on the top. As another reviewer said, it's perfect for those who work in healthcare or similar professions. I really like it.
  • ❌ Reviewing the 2022 edition, and it’s gone in a flash. Even the paper blotter did not hold onto the scent. It’s like splashing lightly scented water onto your skin. Then poof, it’s gone just like your money.
  • ❌ Blind buying a perfume is always a gamble, and this particular fragrance, while not unpleasant, falls short of expectations, especially given its price. It opens with a predominantly floral composition, delicately layered with soft Chypre undertones, which could have been its saving grace. The accords, though harmonious, lack the depth or complexity that one might anticipate from such a luxury offering. Unfortunately, the sillage is almost non-existent, failing to create the allure of a scent that lingers and captivates. Similarly, the longevity disappoints, with the fragrance fading from the skin far too quickly to justify its cost. While it may work as a subtle, personal fragrance, it lacks the presence to make a lasting impression. In the end, while this perfume may appeal to those who favor understated floral elegance, it ultimately leaves one yearning for more character, projection, and staying power to truly feel worthy of the investment. I’d rate it 4.9 out of 10.
  • ❌ Reviewing my mother's perfume. Light floral that gave more of an alcohol sensation. Didn't last long.
  • ❌ This smells sooooo yummy but the top notes vanish on me in seconds- not even minutes. I got a 2 ml sample from surrounded by chance and have had to spray myself several times within hours. Sadly despite how pretty it is I couldn’t justify spending money on it.
