Scent Journey
The first 0–30 minutes are dominated by a piercing, almost medicinal eucalyptus. It is cool, camphoraceous, and slightly green, like crushed leaves under a canopy of ancient trees. There is a faint aromatic lift that prevents it from becoming too clinical, hinting at the complexity to come.
After 1–2 hours, the heart reveals a dark, smoky rose. The incense is not churchy or dry; instead, it is resinous and balsamic, wrapping the rose in a veil of shadow. The rose itself is velvety and deep, more akin to a damask rose left to dry in a crypt than a fresh garden bloom. The camphor from the opening still lingers at the edges, adding a cool, mineral tension.
Four hours and beyond, the base takes over. Sandalwood provides a creamy, woody foundation, while ambergris adds a salty, skin-like warmth. Cypriol—earthy, slightly leathery—introduces an animalic pulse that keeps the fragrance alive and intimate. The overall effect is powdery, warm, and deeply resinous, like the scent of ancient wood and amber resin smoldering on a cold night.
