Pros & Cons
- ✅ Hibiscus Mahajád is comfortably in my top three fragrances of all time, and I genuinely consider it one of the greatest modern niche creations ever made.
- ✅ I love this scent a lot, it’s the type of scent that has depth and will leave you wanting to smell it again
- ✅ This is a sexy date night scent. I LOVE rose and vanilla, but it must be balanced by something tart/green/fresh to keep it from being too syrupy.
- ✅ Received by far most compliments with this perfume as a man. Killer projection and easy to wear..all season perfume.
- ✅ The scent is beautiful, has a lot of character, and practically lasts forever.
- ✅ Projects loud for the first two hours, then settles beautifully
- ✅ Outlasts a full workday on most skin types
- ✅ Strangers ask what it is
- ✅ Handles cool weather without disappearing
- ✅ Worth the price-per-milliliter for an extrait
- ❌ This is a very linear rose fragrance from start to finish, with no noticeable development. ... I personally find it overwhelming and headache-inducing after a while.
- ❌ I think this perfume should have been called Rose Mahajád, because I can’t detect any hibiscus at all. ... I found it rather synthetic.
- ❌ Hibiscus Mahajád is certainly distinctive, but unfortunately not in a way that worked for me. ... it came across as loud, heavy, and surprisingly difficult to wear.
- ❌ Ew. Extremely screechy. ... this is one of the worst things I have ever smelled.
- ❌ I blind bought this based on all the hype and I was let down.
- ❌ Extremely difficult to wash off
- ❌ A little goes a very long way, one spray is enough
- ❌ Leans feminine despite the unisex label
- ❌ Not an office-safe choice in close quarters
- ❌ High price point per milliliter
