Scent Journey
The first 0-30 minutes are a dazzling kaleidoscope of citrus and spice. Bergamot and orange provide a sparkling lift, while pink peppercorn adds a rosy, peppery facet. Cardamom and ginger contribute a warm, aromatic tingle, and a whisper of olibanum (frankincense) and safraleine (saffron accord) introduces a resinous, metallic edge. The overall effect is vibrant yet sophisticated, like a golden sunrise over the desert.
After 1-2 hours, the heart emerges with the luscious sweetness of date and plum. These fruits are not sugary but rather rich and syrupy, reminiscent of dried fruits in a luxurious Arabian dessert. Davana adds a boozy, fruity nuance, while carrot seed lends an earthy, slightly sweet undertone. Orange blossom and mahonial (lily of the valley accord) provide a floral counterpoint, softening the composition and adding a touch of elegance.
From 4 hours onward, the base takes center stage. Vetiver from three origins (Haiti, Indonesia, India) offers a smoky, earthy, and slightly bitter foundation. Patchouli adds depth and a hint of chocolate-like darkness. Cistus and fir balsam contribute a resinous, balsamic warmth, while vanilla/vanillin and amber (Ambrofix, AmbreXolide) wrap the composition in a golden, sweet, and slightly powdery embrace. The drydown is long-lasting and intimate, a skin scent that whispers of luxury.
