Scent Journey
The first spray is fruit-forward and almost effervescent. Lychee leads with a watery, slightly tart sweetness that reads as genuinely tropical rather than candy-like, and saffron threads through it with a dry, leathery, slightly metallic edge. The saffron is the key structural element here: it keeps the opening from collapsing into a fruit syrup and signals the oud that is coming. Expect roughly 20 to 30 minutes of bright, juicy fruit before the heart moves in.
Between roughly one and two hours, the fragrance turns redder and rounder. Raspberry and peach push the sweetness up a notch, and rose arrives to give the composition a soft, slightly powdery floral spine. This is the most 'perfume-like' stage of Oud Lychee, and it is where the fruit and floral notes overlap most heavily. The oud is present but muted, more of a warm, woody shadow than a statement.
From around the four-hour mark onward, the fruit recedes and the base takes over. Agarwood becomes the dominant voice, supported by a creamy, slightly sweet vanilla that softens its rougher edges, and teak wood adds a dry, slightly resinous timber quality that keeps the finish from turning into a straight gourmand. The final hours are warm, woody and gently sweet, with the oud reading as smooth and polished rather than barnyard or medicinal.
Performance Dashboard
Typically 6 to 8 hours on skin, longer on clothing. The base notes hold well into the second half of the day.
Moderate, roughly arm's length for the first couple of hours before settling closer to the skin.
Moderate. It leaves a clear but not overwhelming trail, and it is noticeable to people close to you without filling a room.
When to Wear
Pros & Cons
- Unusual and well-executed lychee-and-oud pairing that does not smell like a standard designer release
- Smooth, polished agarwood that stays approachable for oud newcomers
- Genuinely unisex wearability
- Strong value at the lower end of its price range
- Moderate projection and sillage rather than beast-mode performance
- Too sweet and heavy for hot, humid weather
- The oud is softened to the point that oud enthusiasts may find it tame
- Availability and pricing vary significantly by region and retailer
Price & Value
“Strong value. Comparable fruity-oud compositions from niche houses routinely cost three to five times as much, and Oud Lychee delivers a well-structured, long-lasting scent at a fraction of that.”
Reformulation History
No significant batch variations reported.

Layering Ideas
- Layer with a plain vanilla or tonka-forward eau de parfum to push the drydown toward gourmand without losing the oud.
- Pair with a rose-dominant oud or mukhallat to reinforce the floral heart and add depth.
- Apply a light musk or white floral body lotion underneath to soften the saffron and make the opening more wearable in spring.
- Avoid layering with fresh citrus or aquatic fragrances, which clash with the sweet oud base.
