Scent Journey
The first 0–30 minutes are all light. Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian grapefruit crackle against the sharper edge of Sorrento lemon, while Bulgarian lavender and Guatemalan cardamom add an aromatic-spicy shimmer. It reads brighter and more citrus-forward than the note list's leather-and-oud base would suggest — a deliberate sleight of hand before the resins arrive.
Between roughly one and two hours the fragrance turns. Bulgarian rose and a distinctly powdery Tuscan orris take the center, softened by muguet and grounded by red patchouli and the dry, woody-smoky rasp of cypriol. This is the most classical passage of Alcor — old-world perfumery with a modern polish.
From four hours onward, Alcor becomes what it was always going to become: a skin scent. Italian leather and Cambodian oud settle in beside Madagascar vanilla, musk and the house's Orientalgris ambergris accord, producing a warm, resinous, faintly salty hum that lingers close to the body rather than broadcasting outward.
Performance Dashboard
Around 8–10 hours on skin at extrait concentration, with the last few hours reading as a close resinous skin scent rather than a projecting cloud.
Moderate-strong for the first two to three hours, then settling into a close, resinous skin scent that stays within arm's reach.
Moderate to strong — noticeable in your immediate space without filling a room, and noticeably richer in cold weather.

Layering Ideas
- Layer a single spray over a bright bergamot or neroli cologne to stretch the luminous citrus opening into daytime wear.
- Pair with a vanilla-forward body oil or attar to amplify the Madagascar vanilla and soft ambergris in the drydown.
- On cold nights, add a resinous incense oil — the cypriol and Cambodian oud in the base will read smokier and more mystical.
