Scent Journey
0–30 minutes: the wormwood-absinthe accord arrives first — cool, bitter, herbal, with an anisic shimmer — before blueberry pushes forward with its dark, winey fruit. Ginger and lemon give the first minutes a bright, almost effervescent lift. This is the most volatile and most polarising phase of the fragrance.
1–2 hours: as the citrus burns off, the smoke arrives. Guaiac wood and cypriol take the lead, pulling the blueberry's sweetness down into something darker and more resinous; cumin warms the surface of the skin; frankincense lifts the structure with cool incense; violet begins to powder the edges. This is where Scorpio most clearly declares its character.
4+ hours: ambergris and musk radiate warmth, Laotian oud and Australian sandalwood provide a creamy-smoky wood core, birch adds a leathery tarry edge, and heliotrope-vanilla softens everything into a powdery amber. The final hours are considerably sweeter and more skin-like than the opening suggested.
Performance Dashboard
Not yet rated — no aggregated wearer data exists for this 2026 launch. Structurally, a base of ambergris, oud, sandalwood, birch tar, musk and vanilla at Tiziana Terenzi's typical EDP concentration points to a projected 8–10 hours on skin, longer on fabric. Treat as a materials-based projection, not measured data.
Not yet rated. Projection is likely to sit near arm's length for the first two hours, then draw closer to the skin as the ambergris and vanilla take over.
Not yet rated. Expect a moderate-to-present trail that follows the wearer rather than filling a room — the animalic-ambery base projects steadily but the composition is not built for volume.
When to Wear
Pros & Cons
- ✅ Unusually complex, multi-register composition with a genuine arc from opening to drydown
- ✅ Laotian oud and ambergris give depth without the barnyard aggression of many oud releases
- ✅ Strong cold-weather signature potential with a distinctive bitter-herbal signature
- ✅ Violet and heliotrope keep the smoke and animalics wearable rather than brutal
- ❌ Bitter wormwood-absinthe opening and cumin heart will be divisive
- ❌ Too dense and animalic for office or warm-weather wear
- ❌ Performance, price and batch data not yet established for this new release
- ❌ Blueberry and birch tar make it a poor blind-buy candidate
Price & Value
“Value cannot be assessed responsibly until the retail figure is confirmed. Given the divisive opening and the density of the composition, sampling before purchasing is strongly advised.”
Reformulation History
No significant batch variations reported. As a 2026 launch, Scorpio has not been in production long enough for reformulation or batch divergence to be documented. Natural materials such as Laotian oud, frankincense and ambergris accords are subject to normal harvest variation, but there is no evidence at this stage of meaningful inconsistency.

Layering Ideas
- Apply over a plain vanilla or amber body oil to amplify the drydown's sweetness and soften the opening's bitterness.
- Layer with a simple rose-oud attar to push the composition toward a Middle Eastern register.
- Apply a light citrus cologne underneath to lift the wormwood and lemon, making it more wearable in early autumn.
- Avoid layering with other smoky or animalic fragrances — the result will be muddy rather than complex.
