Pros & Cons
- ✅ One of the most beautiful rose fragrances ever! I’ve owned it for about a year and I go back to it all the time and even with a huge collection it’s one of the most impressive perfumes. A+
- ✅ A dark, misty rose interpretation... Romantic and melancholic at once… like a memory suspended between past and present, almost forgotten.
- ✅ Like a rose-toned canon with heavy bass notes yet mellifluous mid-tones. This jammy rose achieves such egregious perfection in timbre and chromatic saturation that it puts all other legendary rose masterpieces within my arm's reach to shame.
- ❌ I just can't enjoy this fragrance. The very early opening is deceptively fresh and chypre-like. But after a couple of minutes, just as the rose is beginning to make itself known, my nose is assaulted by relentless geranium and orris for a good hour.
- ❌ Headache inducing antique soap and gasoline smell. Dry down is slightly better, becoming more powdery and pleasant, but it’s a no for me.
- ❌ It is the GERANIUM. The geranium. In the opening. And for an eternity after application, I can only smell geranium, orris root and oak moss. To my nose, Lyric Woman wears like a poorly formulated chypre fragrance. Not my favorite genre of fragrances.
