Amouage Decision

The first 0-30 minutes feature a bright, spicy citrus burst. Bergamot and Pink Pepper are immediately noticeable, with Cardamom adding a green, aromatic lift. The effect is sparkling and slightly mineralic, like cold air on a sunny winter morning. It is inviting and energetic, but it quickly begins to transition.

1-2 hours: As the top notes fade, the resinous heart emerges. Frankincense and Myrrh dominate, creating a smoky, balsamic, and slightly sweet incense cloud. Juniper Berries add a fresh, piney nuance that prevents the resins from becoming cloying. This is the most dramatic phase, and it is where Decision feels most luxurious and contemplative. Sillage is already moderate to heavy.

4+ hours: The base takes over after a few hours. Vanilla becomes more prominent, but it is balanced by dry Cedarwood and earthy Patchouli. The scent becomes warmer, smoother, and more intimate. Projection remains strong for the first several hours, then gradually softens to a moderate skin scent. Longevity is excellent, often exceeding eight hours and sometimes lingering into the next day on clothing.
