The first 30 minutes are a burst of spice and resin. Aniseed and cardamom create a sharp, almost medicinal opening, while elemi and frankincense oil add a bright, citrusy incense. Basil and bergamot provide a green, slightly bitter counterpoint, making the initial impression both invigorating and mysterious.

As the heart emerges, the tobacco absolute takes center stage, rich and honeyed, supported by liquorice root's dark sweetness. Bulgarian rose and osmanthus absolute add a floral elegance, while fenugreek and lavender introduce a subtle herbaceousness. The prunol (a synthetic peach note) and orange blossom soften the blend, creating a velvety texture that is both comforting and alluring.

The base is a majestic resinous foundation. Frankincense and myrrh intertwine with Assam oud, creating a smoky, almost sacred aura. Birch tar adds a leathery, campfire-like depth, while benzoin, labdanum, and peru balsam contribute a sweet, balsamic warmth. Bourbon vanilla and tonka bean round out the edges with a creamy, powdery finish, and vetiver and gaiac wood ground the composition with earthy, woody nuances. The drydown lasts for hours, evolving slowly and leaving a trail of incense and tobacco that is both intimate and commanding.
