Pros & Cons

  • ✅ Guerlinade is the finest perfume Guerlain has ever made.
  • ✅ Guerlinade is a powdery floral with a fresh and clean persona.
  • ✅ This is the most realistic lilac I think I've ever experienced.
  • ✅ With the possible exception of Chant D'Aromes, Guerlinade is the finest perfume Guerlain has ever made.
  • ✅ Guerlinade is something very, very special. From the name, one would expect something else – the dusky, sweet base common to Shalimar, Jicky, Vol de Nuit, and L’Heure Bleue. Well, it’s not quite like that. What it is, to my nose, is Mitsouko without the peach, moss, vetiver, incense, and patchouli. What is left over is a clear glimpse into pure joy.
  • ❌ This was such a disappointment. To me, the orris was not detectable and it didn't smell like the classic Guerlain accord we've all grown to love.
  • ❌ It's really mostly a perfumey floral bergamot too similar to the bergamot in Shalimar for me to wear. Pretty disappointing on me.
  • ❌ This was such a disappointment. To me, the orris was not detectable and it didn't smell like the classic Guerlain accord we've all grown to love. This scent is syrupy, balmy, synthetic, vaguely floral, but not powdery.
