Scent Journey
The first 0-30 minutes are spicy and sweet. Cinnamon and cardamom are prominent, with bergamot and orange blossom adding a brief aromatic-citrus brightness. The vanilla is already visible, but it is wrapped in spice.
At 1-2 hours, the heart is bourbon vanilla and elemi. The spice softens, and the vanilla becomes creamier and more expansive. Elemi adds a resinous edge that keeps the sweetness from becoming cloying. This is the stage where Althaïr projects most strongly.
After 4+ hours, the base takes over. Praline, musk, ambroxan, tonka bean, guaiac wood, and candied almond create a sweet, musky, woody finish. The fragrance sits closer to the skin but remains noticeable.
