Pros & Cons

  • ✅ oh waw..i can almost drink this.. i spray it and i am in heaven.. i feel like every vain and senue in my body expands with pleasure.. and opens to life.. it transcends me to another level..its a wonderful.. full bodied.. oriental.. spicy.. oriental woody.. ambery.. musky.. amazing.. beautiful.. full of grace.. and passion.. its warm.. soft.. strong.. mellow.. yet hard.. it intoxicating.. mesmerising.. its full of mystery.. its a wonderful.. beautify..a master piece..a perfumers perfume..every perfumista must study .. it stood the test of time.. its so similar to the original opium..its loved by both sexes.. just a bit fresher.. a bit more magical.. and whimsical ..its a fragrance made for those who are confident enough to be engulfed in true bliss and beauty.. and who are not afraid to show their strength, personality and individual identity.. its a distinctive scent.. it could easily be a signature scent.. people will remember you forever more.. with that smoky.. balmy.. almost heavenly scent ..there is something definitely addictive about opium ..once you go there there is no coming back.. its in another level.. and nothing less or else will ever do.. if you get hooked ..it will be for a life time.. but a life time filled with bliss and exuberance..
  • ✅ This fragrance is one of the rarest designer fragrances I have and one of my favorite fragrances of all time. I bought it in 2011, and it is still a gem in my collection. Opium Fleur Imperiale was created in 2006 as a limited spring release. It’s long been discontinued. I’m a fan of many old-school YSL fragrances, more so than most modern designer fragrances. Opium and its flankers were especially intoxicating and different, despite being so popular. Opium Fleur Imperiale was based on Opium before its reformulation, but is actually better than the original Opium, IMO. The myrrh announces itself dramatically upon first spray. But then a heady, hypnotic veil of oriental osmanthus, woods, amber, carnation, apricot blossom, and general intoxication emerge in strong supporting roles. It isn’t as heavy as many versions of Opium. It is absolutely heavenly. This is nearly a 10/10 for me. The projection is strong and the longevity is 10+ hours. More feminine than regular Opium. If you are lucky enough to come across a bottle of it at some point, do yourself a favor and pick it up.
  • ✅ So happy to stumble across an almost full bottle of this beautiful Opium flanker. I had tested fleur de shanghai years ago & really liked it. There’s a lighter animalic presence working here. A shimmery, powdery veil of incense, flowers & myrrh. This is something I would wear on a night out in Spring or Summer. 🧡
  • ✅ Today my Treasure has Come :-) I love, love, love it. I have Orchidee de Chine and they are similar in fact, but while Orchidee is more floral, Imperiale is more creamy/buttery. For me both are to dye for and now as I have them in my collection I feel satisfied. I'm on a cloud 9:-)
  • ❌ Forget about all these limited editions if you have used the original Opium. It is like an overly diluted cup of Chinese tea where the flavor is hardly there.
  • ❌ This smells almost the same as Orchidée de Chine. And same as Orchidée, I wouldn´t be thinking about Opium, if I didn´t see the bottle. There might be some myrrh in Fleur, but not as a main theme (as it is in Opium) and instead of carnation, cloves and cinnamon, here are very powdery flowers, kind of exotic. This Opium is not middle east, it is more like pacific. It is nice, yet it doesn´t have the projection and lasting power of the original. Powdery soft, clean, exotic floral.
